Residential | Brooklyn, New York | Under Construction
Dean Works was hired by a creative couple to combine two side-by-side apartments into one large 1,700 square foot unit, in a multi-family building in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The clients had been living in one of the apartments for several years when they purchased the adjacent unit. The new apartment hadn't been updated since the 1970's and was in very poor shape.
Our first task was to determine the optimal layout that best supported the client's lifestyle. After studying a variety of options, the final design offered a large open living area with a built-in bar, a spacious master walk-in closet, and a new master suite with a bathroom filled with striking, colorful terrazzo features. It became clear early on that the clients were interested in exploring a playful material palette. Dean Works was game and worked with several of it's special suppliers to source unique and eclectic materials to fit the client's taste.
