Dean Works was hired by a creative couple to combine two, side-by-side apartments into one large 1,700 square foot home in a multi-family, co-op building in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Our first task was to determine a layout that best supported the client's lifestyle. After studying a variety of options, the final design offered a large open living area with a built-in bar, a master walk-in closet, and a new master bedroom with a spacious en suite bathroom.

During the design process, it became clear that the client's were interested in exploring colorful, playful materials that were initially outside their comfort zone. Dean Works was game and worked closely with the couple to to find specialty materials, both handmade and off-the-shelf, that were perfect for the space. The end result was a unique design that captured the spirit of the clients.
