SACKETT HILL HOUSE
Permits & Approvals
Completed with Deborah Berke Partners
Nestled in the corner of a large pastoral property in northwestern Connecticut, two black wooden volumes form this L-shaped home. With sweeping views to the south and east across the restored meadow, and forest views to the west and north, each room has a unique relationship with the site, offering different experiences as you move through the house.
The cool and clean interiors help the home feel light, airy, and neutral to the ever-changing colors outside. Where the interiors act as a blank canvas, the home's dark exterior acts as architectural camouflage, disguising itself into the shadows of the forest.
