The residence sits within a 1916 built, J.E.R. Carpenter designed building in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Our clients desired a sophisticated space that feels modern and fresh while respecting Carpenter's original sense of grandeur, proportion and detail. The generous apartment layout allowed for a natural flow between the "public" rooms, flowing together with the key addition of a new doorway connecting the dining room and living room. The rooms unfold and open to one another in a wonderful way, accompanied by large windows facing Park Ave. The bedrooms and bathrooms in the rear of the apartment will all be renovated and brought up to modern day standards.

This pied-à-terre combines a sophisticated palette of whites, neutrals and rich materials to strike a fine balance between easy living and luxury.
