Approach
We are believers that the very best projects are a balance of functionality and beauty. We believe the path towards creating a great project is by listening closely and thinking creatively. Our aim is to reduce spaces to their fundamentals, emphasizing and exploring the relationship between old and new, heaviness and lightness.
The building sector remains one of the single greatest contributors to greenhouse gases. We believe that elegant design, research, and study can lead to buildings that last longer and consume less resources. There are simple ways to site and orient homes and buildings, specific to every type of climate and location, that when designed properly, can reduce energy consumption while enhancing and delighting the people inside.
Brandon Dean | Principal
Brandon founded Dean Works Architecture in 2018. Prior to that, he worked at Rafael Viñoly Architects followed by eight years at Deborah Berke Partners. Since 2010, he has worked on a range of projects across the country. His flexible approach and strong design vision has led to successful projects and long-lasting relationships with happy clients. Major design work includes: homes in Upstate New York, the Hamptons, Nashville and Oregon, loft and apartment renovations in New York City, boutique commercial and hospitality spaces, and major adaptive reuse projects of historic and industrial buildings in New York and New Haven.
