Dean Works was hired to redesign the kitchen and bathroom of this 2 bedroom, one bath prewar co-op, located steps away from Prospect Park in Brooklyn. The design is very much a collaboration with the client, an excellent furniture-maker and well known photographer.  The project is a classic exercise of working creatively within the confines of a NYC apartment.

Similar to our Clinton Hill Loft project, the material selection and detailing for the kitchen is in direct reference to the existing client-made cabinetry found in the apartment. The design is simple but elegant in a classic modern way.  The new bathroom design is a minimalist expression, using a special type of terrazzo tile for the walls and floors, all of the same dimension. Precision is key for this type of design.

The project is expected to start construction in the late Fall of 2021.
