Residential  |  Brooklyn, New York

The design for this studio loft in a former trolley-storage building in Brooklyn, started with the client's birch plywood table, which they had designed and built before the project began. The clients, of studio GLAM, hired Dean Works to help design a new kitchen and bedroom that took inspiration from the clean details, material, and proportions of the original table.  The new custom closets, steel frame sliding glass doors, and cabinetry were designed to slip into the loft space neatly, maintain the industrial character, and provide much needed storage for the couple's growing collection of art, records, ceramics, books, and dog toys. Dean Works worked closely with GLAM to source unique light fixtures, appliances, and materials, and designed the kitchen to be highly functional and fantastic for entertaining.
